Elite Diagnostics employs LC/MS-MS technology to quantify and confirm the toxicology specimens received. This state-of-the-art technology is the most accurate method available for urine confirmation testing. You can rest assured that you will have the most accurate results for your patients!
Elite Diagnostics provides consulting services to medical practices to help them start their in-office lab. Whether this is a highly complex urine screening lab or a multi-faceted general chemistry lab, Elite Diagnostics can help you provide the lab services your patients need. At Elite Diagnostics, we are committed to compliance, as evidence by our compliance committee’s ongoing review of policies and procedures and all healthcare entity relationships.
Physicians who monitor patients’ use and potential misuse of prescription pain medication can perform drug screen testing within their facility. Monitoring use can improve patient care and increase revenue to sustain and grow the practice. Our onsite laboratory addresses pharmacokinetics, substance abuse, misuse, diversion, addiction and medical & legal issues.
Performing urine drug testing involves a two-step process, an initial screening test followed by a confirmation. The initial screening UDT can be either simple or more complex, depending on the testing method. An example of a simple screening method is the urine drug cup performed in a CLIA waived setting. These simple methods typically provide less sensitivity/specificity and commonly provide false-positives and false-negatives.
Alternatively, medical practices can perform more complex screening UDT with highly complex systems such as utilizing a benchtop analyzer and reagents. This UDT must be in a CLIA certified lab, with the following qualified personnel: Lab Director, Technical Supervisor, General Supervisor, Clinical Consultant and Testing Personnel. Each role has specific qualification and responsibility requirements. After the initial screening UDT, the sample is sent to a CAP Certified Highly Complex Lab (such as Elite Diagnostics) for final confirmation using a state-of-the-art LC/MS-MS system.
Elite Diagnostics, a highly complex CAP certified medical laboratory based in Indiana, assists physician practices in establishing their own high complexity screening labs in their offices. Elite removes the headache of finding and maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, CLIA compliance and technical oversight. Elite leases the complete lab: analyzer, reagents and supplies. These are provided at one low, fixed monthly fee. In return, the practice can enhance a beneficial service line without the hassles. With Elite’s services, practices can have a lab within their facility, obtain results, make treatment decisions and take medication adjustments often before the patient leaves the office. No more waiting on test results from an outside laboratory
